Where to get your Marriage License

Marriage Licenses are obtained at any County Clerk's Office. It does not have to be the county where you reside or the county where you plan to be married. The only requirement is that once you are married you must return your signed marriage license to the county that you obtained it from. I have worked with Los Angeles, San Bernardino and Riverside County Clerk's Offices.  Riverside is the easiest and fastest county to deal with.

I strongly recommend obtaining your license from Riverside. The office on Gateway Drive doesn't get a lot of traffic. If you avoid lunchtime you can be in and out pretty quickly without having to stand in long lines. The other nice thing about Riverside is that if your license is submitted for recording by Tuesday of any given week, your recorded document will be available for purchase Thursday of that same week. Other counties take from 2-6 weeks.

The Riverside County Clerk's Office is located at:

2724 Gateway Drive
Riverside, CA 92502
951-486-7000
8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. / M - F Closed for Holidays.

Why I became a Wedding Minister

I spent 20 years working in offices as a secretary or office assistant.  I worked my way up from a File Clerk to a Certified Paralegal. Frankly, I hated every minute of it. I wasted thousands of hours of my life watching the clock waiting for the day to end so I could return home to be with the one I love.

Suddenly one day it just came to me, I want to help unite couples in marriage. The only thing in life that ever really meant anything to me was love and helping others find love. So why not make a career of it?  My only regret is that I didn't think of it sooner.

Rates

People often ask why do Wedding Ministers charge so much for a 10-30 minute Wedding Ceremony?

There are several things I need to do to prepare for your special day. The initial telephone interview usually takes a minimum of 15 minutes. I have a series of questions I ask every couple that helps me personalize their wedding experience.  Hence:

~ "Your Wedding Your Way" ~

Typically it takes anywhere from 1-2 hours drafting the script to the wedding couples' specifications. I also provide, at no extra charge, a beautiful Certificate of Marriage which is suitable for framing or is a nice addition to the wedding album. At the end of the ceremony I provide the newlyweds with a packet that contains a copy of my credentials, a copy of their wedding script and of course the Certificate of Marriage.

I'm also required to hand deliver the completed marriage license to the County Clerks Office for recording. I usually do this the following weekday.

As you can see officiating a wedding requires time to prepare.  I'm sure you will find that my prices are very competitive.
